About Marisol Chimil

Marisol is an artist based in Los Angeles, California. She mostly utilizes and works primarily with acrylic paint, but also loves to work with mixed media at times to convey her emotions, personal memories, and identity. 

She began making art at the age of 12 and from there on decided to continue creating art to express and explore the way different artists create their own works of art as she realized how expressive, unique, and beautiful each work looked and talked to her. 

 Over time as she started getting more familiar with each different type of medium she discovered how anything as simple as trash can be utilized to make a piece of art. Her creativity from there on expanded and helped her create relatable and engaging pieces that some readers could relate to or understand deeply. 

Inspiration plays a major role in her art as the people around her and different artists give her ideas of what she will create next. She also finds inspiration within herself as her art often reflects the way she sees the world and feels about herself emotionally, physically, or even mentally. Through her own eyes anything that she sees is inspiration, as she says “we live in a world full of color. Anything or anywhere is a piece of art itself even if it doesn’t seem like it”. 

As of now she is an emerging artist who plans and hopes to continue to create, develop, and enhance her skills. For her, art is a way of communicating and sharing the way she feels and understands how the world and human works
